

EPFO has introduced The Pradhan Mantri Rojgar Protsahan Yojna (PMRPY), a scheme to incentivize employers to generate new employment. EPFO has made it mandatory for establishments covered under EPFO to register themselves under PMRPY. Benefits of registration under PMPRY: Government of India will pay 8.33% of the employer's (who have registered under PMPRY) EPS contributions for the new employees who are employed on or after 01/04/2016 in establishments covered under the EPFO and drawing less than Rs.15000/- as Gross Wages. These benefits shall be available to eligible establishments for a period of 3 years from the date of its implementation i.e. 01/04/2016. Condition: 1) Employees should be first time registered under PF having Gross salary not more than Rs. 15000/- For e.g. A new employee joins organisation on or after 01/04/2016, and has never been a member of PF before joining the organisation. His salary is as follows: Basic HRA Conv Medical Gross 9000 3000 2000 1000 16000 Here, the employee will not be eligible for the PMRPY scheme as his total gross salary is above 15000/- 2) Aadhaar Card and Pan Card for verification. 3) To avail the benefit, payment of PF contribution should be made before 10th of every month. 4) Digital Signature for approval 5) Labour Identification Number (LIN) from Shram Suvidha Portal of Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India. Registration under PMRPY Compulsory: An employer have to compulsorily register with PMRPY Portal.
