EPFO fixes 8.15% interest rate on employees' provident fund for 2022-23 (Source: India Today) The fresh rate is 0.5 per cent higher than the 8.1 per cent interest rate EPFO had declared for 2021-22, which also was the lowest in almost four decades. This comes as a disappointment to its nearly 5 crore subscribers, who have seen the PF interest rate decline sharply over the past couple of years. However, the labor ministry said the recommended rate of interest of 8.15 per cent "safeguards the surplus as well as guarantees increased income to members".
